Glam Not Dumb

That’s the first thing that goes into my mind when I think of fashion. Every girls, ladies (or women instead) loves to dress up, to stand out, to be notice by everyone, to go on trends, to be envied of what she wears or how she looks, how she carries herself, what is she going to wear for that event, and so many questions. But how are you going to do that without spending much? By not buying expensive brands of clothes, shoes, bags, accessories and all the essential girly stuffs that we need, without hurting our budget and our wallets?

Is it possible to still look glamorous and trendy at the same time in a tighter budget? Hell of course! It is not about buying the expensive brands that will make you stand out, it is how you match things up. Knowing what the best colors suits you, what is flattering for you and not, knowing that not all fashion trends are good for you, what cuts of dress, shirts, pants that will compliment your body type, what certain accessory will match and look good for that certain outfit.

For me it is not about what expensive brand or haute couture that will make you stand out amongst the rest. It is your inner confidence that will lead you be a fashion aficionado, giving you that uber satisfaction to have that confidence that you never thought you’ve had.

So I really don’t get it why other women thinks that wearing designer clothes or shoes will already make you a stand out. Of course, sometimes it feels good to wear something expensive that not everyone can buy or have. But once you wear it, does it still look expensive as it was? Or you just ruined the expensive name of that certain brand because you’re wearing it.

And now that expensive brand doesn’t have any dignity at all because you didn’t give any bit of justice to it. For all you care about are the people you want to impress for that event. But they'll never remember it as that expensive brand, they will not remember it as a haute couture as you want to be remembered. They will all remember it as the most hideous and sloppiest get up you ever wore (or ever had) and the worst part is you will be name-called as the "most worst fashion victim ever."

So before buying expensive brands make sure you will give justice to it. Because you are not just wearing it you are giving a statement to it. A statement to yourself because you’re the one who is wearing the dress and people will judge you by the impression you’re leaving them. Because you my friend, is the one making the scene. And at the end of the day when everything goes wrong, there is only one person to be blame... it is you, the one and only you. So before making any decision what to wear make sure it will compliment you in a good way. So think twice, Think wise.
